WBL Project

The Balkan WBL Cooperation project is dedicated to improving vocational education and training (VET) by fostering transnational collaboration in work-based learning (WBL) among Balkan countries. Representing Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Greece, and Romania, our consortium is committed to enhancing regional cooperation to reduce unemployment, elevate the region’s competitiveness, and make it a more appealing destination for foreign investment.

By sharing best practices and engaging with experts, the project addresses key challenges such as aligning VET with labor market needs, improving the quality of WBL programs, and increasing business involvement in apprenticeships. Our ambition is to expand the reach of this initiative, actively involving more VET practitioners and policymakers throughout the project’s implementation. Through this collaborative effort, we aim to strengthen VET systems, improve legislation, and raise awareness, ultimately boosting employability and driving sustainable economic growth across the Balkan region.
