On 16 October 2025, the Modern Education Foundation will host the final Balkan Conference on Work-Based Learning at the Sofia Balkan Hotel, Sredets Hall. The event is held under the auspices of the Minister of Education and Science Mr. Krasimir Valchev and concludes the Erasmus+ project Balkan WBL Cooperation.
The conference will bring together representatives from Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Greece, and Romania to discuss how work-based learning contributes to reducing youth unemployment, increasing competitiveness, and attracting more investment to the region.
The programme includes official greetings, regional perspectives, a panel discussion with experts and practitioners, as well as recommendations for modernising vocational education and training in Bulgaria.
Participation is free of charge, but requires prior registration.
