At the International Educational Forum 2021 held in Varna, Mrs. Petya Evtimova, Chair of the Board at the Foundation for Modern Education, delivered a compelling presentation on the challenges facing vocational education in Bulgaria. Drawing on her extensive experience as a former Deputy Minister of Education and Science and Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Policy, as well as her role in leading the Bulgarian-Swiss project DOMINO, which introduced dual vocational education in Bulgaria, Mrs. Evtimova offered valuable insights into the current state of vocational training in the country.
During her session, titled “Challenges in Vocational Education,” Mrs. Evtimova highlighted the pressing need for reforms to better align vocational education with labor market demands.
