Bulgaria Presents a Vision for Dual Education Development at Cedefop’s Annual Meeting in Thessaloniki

On November 19, 2024, the annual meeting of the Expert Group on Work-Based Learning under the European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training (Cedefop) took place in Thessaloniki, Greece. Bulgaria was represented by Ms. Petya Evtimova, Chair of the Board of the Modern Education Foundation and a member of the expert group since 2018.

During the meeting, Ms. Evtimova delivered a presentation highlighting incentives designed for students and companies engaged in dual education. She also outlined Bulgaria’s Strategic Vision for the development of dual education in the country.

A key focus for the group’s work in 2025 will be the creation of a database showcasing best practices from EU member states. This initiative aims to attract more young people and businesses to the dual education system, strengthening the link between education and the labor market.
